Munshiganj: Police detained nine teachers along with SSC question papers and answer copies from a house near an exam centre in Sirajdikhan upazila on Friday.

The arrested were identified as Mohammad Golam Maula, Chitto Ranjan Barman, Mohammad Saijuddin, Mohammad Nasir, Shital Chandra, Didar Hossain, Moktar Hossain, Ramzan Ali and Mostafizur Rahman. They are teachers of different schools in the upazila.

On secret information, police conducted a drive in the house of Amzad Hossain near the SSC exam centre at Rajdia Abhay Pilot High School at about 11am and arrested them along with the copies of the question paper and answer sheet.

The arrested were involved in supplying answer copies to the examinees in the centre, said Ferdous Hasan, officer-in-charge of Sirajdikhan Police Station.
