Narayanganj arson victim dies at DMCH

Dhaka: A man who received injuries to the head and a leg in an arson attack at Rupganj in Narayanganj on Friday night died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) early Saturday.
The deceased was Kabir Sheikh, 30, a worker of Mahbub Spinning Mills at Bhulta in Narayanganj.
Sources at DMCH said Kabir succumbed to his injuries at the hospital at about 4:00am.
Earlier, six workers of the spinning mill suffered injuries, including five with burns, in the arson attack on a pickup van by hurling petrol bombs in Rupganj on Friday night.
Miscreants hurled a petrol bomb at the pickup van carrying 15 workers of the mill on its way to the capital at about 10:00pm, said Inspector Mozammel Haque, in-charge of the DMCH police camp.
The arson attack left five workers burnt while Kabir got his leg broken and the head hurt while getting down from the van hurriedly, he said.
