29 Bangladeshis arrested on Satkhira border
Satkhira: Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested 29 Bangladeshis while they were entering the country through Lakshmidari border point in Sadar upazila on Monday night, after going to India illegally.
All of them are residents of different areas of Bagerhat and Satkhira.
Subedar Osman Gani, commanding officer of Satkhira Bhomra BGB-38, said on secret information, a team of the border force conducted a drive in the area and arrested the 29, including 11 women and four children, at about 10:30pm while they were trying to enter the Bangladesh territory during their return from India without valid documents.
Later, BGB troops handed them over to Sadar Police Station.
A case was filed in this connection.
