Bombing at BNP leaders' houses

Jessore: Miscreants hurled crude bombs at the residence of some Bangladesh Nationalist Party Jessore unit leaders, including its standing committee member Tariqul Islam at about 1:30am on Friday.
Former lawmaker Tariqul Islam’s wife Nargis Begum said miscreants had thrown five crude bombs at their Ghopjel road residence in Jessore.
Windows of the first-floor of the house were badly damaged, she added.
After attacking Tariqul Islam’s house, miscreants then hurled bombs at the residence of BNP Jessore unit general secretary Syed Saberul Haque Sabu, its assistant secretary Mizanur Rahman Khan, its former president Chowdhury Shahidul Islam Nayan’s son Biplob Chowdhury, its vice president Golam Reza Dulu and its organising secretary Delowar Hossain Khokan.
Kotwali police officer-in-charge Shikder Akkas said police were sent to the places on Friday morning.
