Law minister also gets death threat
Dhaka: Law Minister Anisul Haque received a death threat through social networking site Facebook.
Abdullah Al Shaheen, a senior information officer of the Law Ministry, on Monday told UNB that Kawsar Ahmed Sajeeb, a Bahrain expatriate and a resident of Kosba upazila of Brahmanbaria, issued the death threat to the Law Minister with posting in Facebook account on 7 April.
Sajeeb has a link with Malgran union unit Islami Chhatra Shibir, he said.
On 9 April, Manir Khan, an activist of Kosba than unit Chhatra League, filed a case against Sajeeb under the ICT Act with Kosba Police Station.
However, the text of the Facebook post could not be known immediately.
Meanwhile, police arrested Hebzu Mia, father of Sajeeb, in connection with another case filed with the same police station.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid also received a death threat over his mobile phone on Wednesday.
