ACC grills 5 LGED engineers
Dhaka: The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) on Sunday interrogated five engineers of the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) in connection with a graft allegation raised against its former chief engineer Wahidur Rahman.
ACC deputy director Mir Zainul Abedin Shebly questioned them from about 10:00am to 4:00 pm at the ACC head office, said ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya.
The grilled LGED engineers are superintending engineer Mollah Azizul Haque, deputy assistant engineer Mustafizur Rahman, and assistant engineers Saleh Uddin Pramanik, K Subasti Gomez and Firoz Karim.
Earlier, the ACC received an allegation that LGED’s ex-chief engineer Wahidur Rahman accumulated a huge illegal wealth abusing his power and initiated a probe into the allegation.
