Dhaka-Washington partnership dialogue from 30 Apr
Dhaka: The fourth annual Bangladesh-US partnership dialogue will be held in Dhaka on 30 April and 1 May to advance the robust and growing bilateral relationship and give it a strategic direction.
The dialogue between the two countries was initially scheduled to take place here on 29-30 April.
Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman will lead a large US delegation for these talks, US Embassy Spokesperson Monica L Shie on Monday.
Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs Nisha Biswal will also attend it, she said.
‘The two sides will discuss the full range of our bilateral activities, including development and governance, trade and investment, and security cooperation,’ Monica said.
Foreign Secretary M Shahidul Haque will lead the Bangladesh side.
Earlier on Thursday, US Ambassador to Bangladesh Marcia Stephens Bloom Bernicat said the US is looking forward to have the next round of Partnership Dialogue with Bangladesh to review the areas of cooperation and issues of both countries’ interest.
The diplomat said it a regular dialogue between the two ‘partnering nations’ to review the list of all areas for cooperation and issues of mutual interest.
