Sylhet: The body of a minor boy was found hanging from the ceiling of his house at Electric Supply area in Sylhet on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Ramjan Mian.

Police said a neighbour saw the hanging body of Ramjan through the window of a room at House 35 under ward no. 5 of the city at noon.

Police went to the spot and recovered the body at about 1:00pm.

Later, the body was sent to MAG Osmani Hospital for autopsy.

Local people said Ramjan used to work at a electric workshop in the area and was staying at his house over the last one week for his illness.

Airport Police Station officer-in-charge Gausul Alam confirmed the incident.
