I was abducted 2 months ago: Salahuddin

Dhaka: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) joint secretary general Salahuddin Ahmed has said that he was abducted two months ago.
Salahuddin Ahmed is now at a mental health hospital at Meghalaya where he was admitted after police found him walking aimlessly on a road in Shillong.
Shillong superintendent of police Mr H Kharkharan told NDTV, ‘We are still trying to find out how he entered India without a passport. He claims he doesn't know and that he had been kidnapped two months ago from Dhaka.’
Hasina Ahmed, wife of the BNP leader, in a press conference at about 3:00pm said Salahuddin is receiving treatment at Meghalaya Institute of Mental Health & Neuro Sciences.
Earlier, BNP chairperson’s media wing officer Shamsuddin Didar said that Salahuddin Ahmed has been traced.
The BNP and Salahuddin’s family have been blaming law enforcers for the disappearance of the BNP leader since the night when he had been allegedly picked up from his residence.
Even BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia in a press conference on 11 May claimed that Salahuddin was in RAB custody.
Hasina Ahmed said the hospital authorities phoned her on Tuesday afternoon and said that her husband wants to talk with her. Later she talked with Salahuddin Ahmed.
Hasina Ahmed quoting Salauddin said, ‘His physical condition is stable now. We are trying to reach to him soon.’
Salauddin’s family claimed on 10 March this year that members of law enforcing agencies picked him up from a house at Uttara, an allegation denied by the law enforcers and the government.
