Bus plunge kills 2

Comilla: Two people were killed and 15 others injured as a bus plunged into a rain-fed ditch alongside the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway in Burichong upazila on Tuesday.
One of the deceased is Shawon of Lalpur village of Noakhali district.
Moynamati Highway Police officer-in-charge Abdul Awal said the Dhaka-bound bus of ‘Asia Classic Paribahan’ from Noakhali skidded off the road and fell into the ditch at Kalakachua at about 1:00pm after its driver lost control over the steering, leaving an unidentified girl, aged at about 12, dead on the spot and its 16 other passengers, including Shawon, injured.
Critically injured Shawon was taken to Comilla Eastern Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
The rest of the injured people were admitted to the Eastern Medical College Hospital and the Comilla Medical College Hospital.
