Natore: A schoolgirl was killed after rape allegedly by her cousin and his friend at Yarpur village in Naldanga upazila on Monday.

The victim is a resident of the village and a class V student of Yarpur Primary School.

Police sources said victim’s cousin along with his friend took the girl from her school to a place telling to buy chocolates for her.

Later locals found her body in a mango orchard adjacent to the sluice gate area at the village in the evening.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar hospital for an autopsy.

Police arrested the cousin from Sherkol area of Singra upazila and his friend from his house.

Agitated people vandalised the house of accused cousin.
