Manikganj: A young couple allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves from the ceiling of a house with the same scurf at Hajinagar village in Sadar upazila of Manikganj on Monday night.

Police said the couple had an extra-marital affair. The deceased woman was the wife of a Saudi Arabia expatriate.

On Monday night local people locked the couple in a house when they found the couple together in that house.

Consequently, they hanged themselves with the same scurf from the ceiling of the house at night.

Informed, police recovered the bodies on Tuesday morning and sent those to the morgue of Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
