Naogaon: Bus services from Naogaon to Dhaka, Chittagong and other regions of the country have been halted for the three consecutive days following a ban on an inter-route bus service.
No long-distance buses left Naogaon from Wednesday to Friday.

Manager of Shah Fateh Ali Paribahan in Naogaon Motiuzzaman said one of their bus services used to ply between Shapahar upazila and Dhaka. On Tuesday, leaders and activists of districts’ Motor Workers’ Union stopped the bus on its way to Shapahar without any prior notice. Later, the agitated workers of Bagura Workers’ Union blocked the way of Dhaka-bound buses via Bagura.  Later, on Wednesday morning the bus services in the route were halted for an indefinite period.

Commuters suffered as the bus service to long-distance routes have been stopped.
