Gopalganj: Six members of a family and another person were killed in a head-on collision between a microbus and a utility vehicle on Gopalganj-Kotalipara Road in Sadar upazila of Gopalganj on Saturday.

Five of the deceased are Khokon Miah, China Begum, Fatema Nesa, Shakib, and Eti, of Teligati village in the upazila.

The sadar police said the accident took place at about 10:00am at Shibpur, leaving six passengers of the utility vehicle dead on the spot and five others injured.

One of the injured died on the way to hospital.

Police recovered the bodies and sent to Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
