Kurigram: A mobile court in Kurigram on Friday sentenced eight people, including two women, to different terms of imprisonment on charge of adopting unfair means in the primary assistant teacher recruitment test on Friday.

Acting deputy commissioner of the district said the convicts were held from different centres in the district while using mobile phones to answer questions during the test.

Later, they were produced before the mobile court which sentenced them to different imprisonments.

The court also fined five female candidates Tk 200 each on the same charge.
