Pabna: A young man was stabbed to death by miscreants in Halpara area of Pabna on Wednesday night.

The deceased is Anup Agarwal, resident of the area.

Abdullah Al Hasan, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said a gang of miscreants stabbed him in front of Upazila Health and Family Planning office at about 10:30am, leaving him dead on the spot.

Later police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

The reason behind the murder could not be known immediately, added police.
