Manikganj: A priest of a church at Utholi in Shibalaya upazila filed a general diary (GD) with Shibalaya police on Saturday afternoon out of fear for a possible attempt on his life, reports United News of Bangladesh.

Shibalaya police officer-in-charge Rakibuzzaman said a group of around six masked miscreants, riding three motorcycles, came to Utholi Catholic Church at about 8:30am and looked for Father Domeni Rozario.

However, the priest was not in the church at that time.

Later, he filed a GD with the police station for security concern in the afternoon, said the OC.

Security was beefed up around the church and in its surroundings following the incident and a check post set up in its front, the OC added.
