Sylhet: BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said democracy is confined; judicial department is affected in the country, which is alarming.

The BNP leader said BNP cannot be destroyed by killing and abduction as he was addressing the inauguration programme of Sylhet Metropolitan, and District BNP Conference as the chief guest.

The biennale conference began at about 10:00am at Shahid Soleman Hall in city’s Dargah Central Muslim Shahitto Shangsad.

BNP joint secretary general Mohammad Shahjaham, central deputy organising secretay Shakhawat Hassan Jibon as special guests address the conference chaired by Sylhet district BNP convenor Nurul Haque.

BNP Chairperson’s advisor Enam Ahmed Chowdhury, Sylhet Metropolitan BNP convenor Shahriar Hossain Chowdhury, former president MA Haque, and former lawmaker Dildar Hossain Selim, were also present in the conference.
