Dhaka: UK Minister of State for Immigration James Brokenshire arrived in Dhaka on Sunday morning to discuss issues of mutual interest including immigration policy and enforcement.

The minister so far has held meetings with Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali, Law Minister Anisul Huq and Foreign Secretary M Shahidul Haque, said an official at the Foreign Ministry, reports UNB.

He is scheduled to hold a meeting with Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan later today.

However, there has been no official announcement before the arrival of the UK minister.

A diplomatic source said the UK Minister will leave Dhaka on Monday morning.

Brokenshire was appointed Minister for Immigration at the Home Office last year.
