Minister to monitor doctors from Secretariat
Dhaka: Health Minister Mohammed Nasim will monitor every day from the secretariat through videoconferencing whether physicians are delivering services at their workplaces, according to a UNB report.
At a meeting at the conference room of the Health Ministry on Wednesday, the minister directed the officials concerned to complete the technological process soon in this regard.
Nasim asked the civil surgeons to be more active in monitoring whether doctors at upazila and union levels are performing their duties.
Punitive actions must be taken if any doctor at the grassroots level remains absent at their workplace.
‘The government wants to make the monitoring system stronger. We won’t accept any allegation under any circumstances that patients are not getting treatment. We wouldn’t show any leniency to any physician if we get any allegation,’ said the minister.
