Accused in BCL man killing held in Moulvibazar
Sylhet: Police arrested an accused in a case filed for killing of Kazi Habib, an activist of Sylhet International University unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), from Sultanpur area in Moulvibazar on early Friday, reports UNB.
Tipped off, a team of police conducted a drive in the area and arrested Nahid Hasan from his residence early in the morning, said Nurul Huda Ashrafi, assistant commissioner of Sylhet Metropolitan Police.
On 19 January, Kazi Habibur Rahman was killed in a clash between two rival groups of the university unit BCL.
Later a case was filed accusing 11 people in this connection.
Nahid was one of the accused in the case.
Meanwhile, the authorities concerned of the university administration suspended 15 students in connection with the murder.
