JS body for strong monitoring charging extras by auto-rickshaws
Dhaka: The parliamentary standing committee on Road Transport and Bridges Ministry on Sunday urged for strong monitoring system to check extra fare by CNG-run auto-rickshaws, reports BSS.
The recommendation came at a meeting of the JS body at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban with committee chairman Md Ekabbar Hossain in the chair.
The ministry informed the JS body that the construction of Padma Bridge will be completed by 2018 as around 30 percent work of the bridge has so far been completed.
The meeting also recommended to inform updating information on the progress of Padma Bridge construction to the committee members through SMS over cell phones.
Committee members AKM Awal (Saidur Rahman), Rezwan Ahmed Toufiq, Nuruzzaman Ahmed, Fazlur Rahman, Nazmul Haque Prodhan, Md Monirul Islam and Lutfun Nesa attended the meeting.
