21 hurt in AL, rebel candidates’ clash
Pabna: At least 21 Awami League activists were injured in a clash among the supporters of Awami league backed chairman candidate and rival candidates at Dhalarchar union council in Aminpur, Pabna on Thursday night.
Officer-in charge of Aminpur Police Station Tazul Islam said supporters of rival chairman candidates Nasir Uddin and Julhas Uddin, equipped with sharp weapons and firearms carried out an attack on the electioneering office of AL-backed candidate Korban Ali in Dhalarchar Siddque Mor area around 11pm, leaving 21 activists injured.
Six among them sustained bullet injuries, the OC added.
Korban Ali filed a case with Aminpur Police Station in this connection.
