Dhaka: Nearly five months into his arrest, BNP national executive committee member Dewan Mohammad Salauddin Babu freed from jail on bail.

The former lawmaker of Dhaka-19 constituency walked out of Dhaka central jail on Sunday night.

Earlier, on 25 October 2015, the Savar police arrested the BNP leader from his Paribagh residence.

A total of 26 cases were filed against him by police during the anti-government movement of BNP-led 20-Party Alliance.

Salauddin Babu after his release told NTV Online he was politically harassed by some fake cases.
