N I Khan made curator of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum
Dhaka: Former education secretary Md. Nazrul Islam Khan (N I Khan) has been made curator of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Memorial Museum, the house of Bangabandhu at road no 32 at Dhanmondi that turned into museum in 1997.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave the responsibility to N I Khan on Thursday.
Prior to his new assignment, he served as Information and Communication (ICT) Secretary, Personal Secretary to the Prime Minister and National Project Director (NPD) of Access to Information (A2I) Programme of Prime Minister’s office, said a press release.
‘This is a great honor to perform the duties at the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum, the house where Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman lived in and from where he had proclaimed the independence of Bangladesh,’ N I khan said.
He said he will put his best endeavor to perform the responsibility given to him and spread the ideology and works of Bangabandhu at home and abroad.
‘I will try to make use of the experiences I have gathered visiting most of the best museums of the world,’ N I Khan said.
