Narsingdi: The BNP chairman candidate at Danga union parishad of Palash upazila in Narsingdi boycotted the election on charges of various irregularities.

The candidate, Iqbal Hossain, announced the election boycott at a press briefing at about 11:00am, reports local news agency.

Abul Bashar, Iqbal Hossain’s chief election agent, said the candidate pulled out of the race accusing the men of his rival, backed by the ruling party, of obstructing his supporters in casting votes, forcing his agents out of some centers and also casting fake votes.
