Sylhet: Police arrested Kanaighat pourashava unit BNP general secretary Mizanur Rahman from Kanaighat Bazar in Sylhet on Saturday afternoon on sabotage charges.

Mizanur Rahman was accused in four cases with Kanaighat Police Station, said police.

Md Humayun Kabir, officer-in-charge of Kanaighat Police Station, said police arrested him from Kanaighat Bazar area at about 5:00pm.

However, Mizanur told reporters that he was on bail in all the four cases.
