Post-polls violence: Injured Bogra Juba League man dies
Bogra: A local Juba League activist who suffered injuries during a clash over Thursday’s union council elections in Sonatola upazila died at Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital on early Sunday, reports UNB.
Liton Miah, 30, son of Zinnat Ali of Pathanpara village in the upazila, was declared dead at the hospital at about 5:00am, said hospital police camp in-charge Shah Alam Liton.
At least 20 people were injured during the clash between the supporters of elected Digdair union parishad member Abdus Samad and defeated candidate Selim at Pathanpara village on Saturday.
Five critically injured people, including Liton, were taken to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital where Liton succumbed to his injuries.
