Man held carrying 3kg gold at Kamalapur train station
Dhaka: The Railway police arrested a man carrying 25 gold bars from Kamalapur Railway Station on Monday morning.
The arrestee is Joynal Abedin, believed to be around 57 years old, resident of Chittagong, reports UNB.
The Kamalapur Government Railway Police officer-in-charge Abdul Majid said being tipped off, the law enforcers searched Joynal Abedin, who came from Chittagong by Turna-Nishita Express at about 7:30am.
Police recovered the gold bars, weighing around 3kilogram and worth TK 1.5 crore, which was hidden inside a new shoe, added the OC.
