Lakshmipur: Robbers looted valuables from a house killing a man at Gudamghao in Kamalnagar upazila of Lakshmipur early on Wednesday.

Police and local people said a gang of robbers with arms, numbering around 20, intruded the house of Abdul Wadud Jamadar and started to loot valuables.
As the house inmates raised a hue and cry, the robbers stabbed and opened fire at them, leaving Wadud dead on the spot and three others injured.
The injured were rushed to Kamalnagar Upazila Health Complex from where they were shifted to Noakhali General Hospital as their condition deteriorated.

Police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for an autopsy.

The Kamalnagar police officer-in-charge Mohammad Kabir Ahmed said police arrested one person named Nurul Amin on suspicion of the killing.
