Ex-Lakshmipur lawmaker's house comes under attack

Lakshmipur: Awami League men allegedly attacked the house of former Bangladesh Nationalist Party lawmaker from Lakshmipur-1 constituency M Nazim Uddin at Poietpur village in Ramganj upazila early Thursday.
Nazim Uddin, also Ramganj upazila unit BNP president, came up with the allegation at a press briefing at his residence on Thursday noon.
‘A group of local Awami League men attacked my house early today as I’ve been working in my area with my party leaders over the upcoming union parishad election. Outraged by this, they attacked my house,’ Nazim Uddin alleged.
He further alleged that the attackers fired several gunshots towards his room in a bid to kill him. ‘Though I escaped unhurt, the windowpanes of my private car parked inside the house were damaged,’ Nazim Uddin added.
