Barguna: An alleged criminal was beaten to death in an attack by a mob in Bakultali area of Betagi upazila of Barguna on Thursday.

Police said Suman, a criminal on their list, resident of Charcolony area in the district town, along with his associates stormed a house in the area and stabbed two of its inmates indiscriminately, leaving them injured.

Hearing screams, local people rushed in and caught Sumon while the others managed to flee the scene.

Later, the agitated people beat him, leaving him dead on the spot.

Later, police recovered the body and sent it to morgue for autopsy.
