Tangail: A grocer was stabbed to death by some miscreants at Baghil Bazar in Sadar upazila of Tangail on Thursday night.

Tangail Model Police Station Officer-in-charge Nazmul Haq Bhuiyan said a group of miscreants swooped on Abdus Sabur, aged around 30 years, a grocery shop owner and son of Abdus Sattar, when he reached in front of Baghil KK High School in the village at about 10:30pm on his way home.

They stabbed Sabur indiscriminately, leaving him dead on the spot.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar hospital morgue for autopsy.

Police said the grocer might have been killed over previous enmity.
