Police in a drive detained 11 female activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir along with some religious books at Munshiganj in sadar upazila of Lakshmipur on Friday evening.

Lakshmipur Sadar Police Station Officer-in-charge M Abdullah Al Mamun Bhuiyan said on secrete information that a group of female activists of Jamaat-Shibir was planning to carry out subversive activities in the area, a team of police conducted a drive there, reports UNB.

During the drive, the law enforcers arrested the 11 Jamaat-Shibir activists and recovered several jihadi books.
