All of them are residents of Badarpur village in Narsingdi Sadar upazila.

Among the convicts, Shakil was tried in absentia.

According to the prosecution, Hasibul Hasan, 6, a class I student of Brahmandi KKM Government Primary School and son of Sohrab Hossain, was strangulated to death by the convicts after abduction over family dispute on May 26, 2013.
