Bangladeshi shot dead by BSF in Lalmonirhat

Dhaka: A Bangladeshi young man was shot to death by members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) in Dahagram-Angorpota border area of Patgram upazila in Lalmonirhat early on Tuesday.
The deceased is Hazrat Ali, in his thirties, a resident of Baladanga village of the upazila.
Local people said BSF members from Omorbari camp opened fire to Hajrat while he was crossing into the Indian territory through the border point at about 4:30am, leaving him dead on the spot.
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Battalion 15 Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Bazlur Rahman Hayati said, a letter has been sent to the BSF protesting the incident.
