Brahmanbaria: A woman and her daughter were found dead at their house at Malihata in Sadar upazila on Wednesday, reports UNB.

The deceased are Sarufa Begum, a rice-mill worker and wife of rickshaw-puller Bachchu Miah, and their daughter Marufa Begum.

Police said Sarufa’s coworkers found the house locked from outside after they went to her house in the morning as she was absent in the workplace. Later, they informed police.

On information, the law enforcers recovered the bodies breaking open the door and sent those to hospital for autopsy.

Meanwhile, Sarufa’s husband went into hiding after the incident.

ASP (Sadar circle) Rajan Kumar Das said prima facie it seemed that duo was murdered. ‘Action will be taken after investigation,’ he said.
