Comilla Medical College closed after BCL infighting

Comilla: The authorities declared Comilla Medical College closed for an indefinite period on Wednesday following a clash between two factions of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL).
A chase and counter-chase took place between two factions of BCL over establishing supremacy on the campus in the morning, leaving 13 students injured, according to sources.
Five of the injured were admitted to Comilla Medical College Hospital.
The academic council sat in a meeting at about 10:00am Wednesday and took the decision fearing further deterioration of the situation, said Principal of the college Prof Mohosinuzzaman Chowdhury.
The male and female students were asked to vacate their dormitories by 11:00am and 4:00pm respectively.
