Man killed by ‘wife’ in Lakshmipur
Police recovered the body of a man, allegedly killed by his wife, from a septic tank of his house in Charpata area of Raipur upazila of Lakshmipur on Friday night, two days after he went missing.
The victim is Abu Taher, a resident of the area, reports UNB.
Lakshmipur Additional Superintendent of Police Sheikh Shariful Islam said that Taher went missing on Wednesday evening. Later his brother Nurul Islam filed a general diary with Raipur Police Station.
Police detained Taher’s wife Rabeya Khatun on Friday morning for interrogation.
At one stage, Rabeya confessed to slaughtering her husband over family feud.
Acting on her information, a police team recovered Taher’s body from the septic tank around 11:00pm.
