Khadija back at home after 4 months

College student Khadija Akter, who was undergoing treatment at Savar Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP) hospital after being stabbed by a BCL leader, was taken to her village home in Biswanath upazila of Sylhet on Wednesday.
She arrived at Sylhet Osmani International Airport by a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines around 2:17pm. Khadija’s father Masuk Mia and her brother Sharnan Haq Shahin accompanied her, reports UNB quoting Khadija’s family.
Khadija’s brother Shahin said Khadija will be taken back to Dhaka after one week for further treatment as she has been brought here for the improvement of her mental condition.
Khadija Akter Nargis, 23, daughter of Masuk Miah, was stabbed by Badrul, a BCL leader of its Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), on her way home from college following the refusal of his proposal for having an affair with him on October 3, 2016.
She was taken to Square Hospital and after undergoing treatment there she was shifted to Savar Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP) hospital on November 28, last.
On January 8, a court here asked the authorities concerned to produce college student Khadija Akter before it on February 26 for recording her testimony.
Badrul Alam admitted to hacking Khadijain his confessional statement under section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPc) on October 5, last year.
Police submitted chargesheet against lone accused Badrul on November 8.
The court indicted Badrul Alam in the case on November 29.
