Man suspected of theft lynched in Munshiganj

A man suspected of theft was killed in a lynch-mob attack at Balashur village in Sreenagar upazila of Munshiganj on early Saturday.
The deceased is Md Laku Sarker, 32, a resident of Uttar Balashur village of Rarikhal union.
Sreenagar Police Station Officer-in-charge Md Saidul Islam said Laku entered the house of one Md Yunus of the village and tried to steal valuables early in the morning, reports UNB.
As Yunus’s son Rajib he tried to obstruct him he stabbed Rajib with sharp weapon.
Hearing Rajib’s scream, villagers rushed in and caught Laku. They beat him up mercilessly, leaving him dead on the spot.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Munshiganj General Hospital.
The injured was admitted to Dhaka Mitford Hospital.
