Comilla: Miscreants hurled a bomb towards police during their drive in a bus on the Dhaka‐Chittagong Highway in Khadghar area of Chandina upazila on Tuesday morning.

Police said when the Dhaka‐bound bus of ‘Shyamali Paribahan’ reached the area around 11:30am police halted the vehicle for conducting a drive.

Sensing the presence of policemen, the miscreants hurled a bomb on them, prompting the law enforcer to fire which left a miscreant bullet injured.

Police arrested two assailants, including the injured one, from the spot.

They also recovered four crude bombs from their possession.
