A beauty pageant contest with the slogan ‘Soundorjer sathe swapner pothe’ (towards the dream with beauty) will begin from 16 May. NTV, one of the leading television channels in Bangladesh, is jointly organising the event with Mumtaz Herbal and the contest will be regulated by NTV Online (ntvbd.com). The jury panel comprises noted artist Samarjit Roy, beauty expert Afroza Parvin and popular actress Urmila Srabonti Kar.

Any Bangladeshi women aged between 18 to 30 years old are eligible to participate in the competition. Among them, 10 beautiful women will be chosen. Bangladeshi expatriates can also participate in the completion.  

A press conference was held at NTV office in capital Dhaka's Karwan Bazar at about 12:00pm on Thursday.

Steps to choose most beautiful woman

First, one has to visit ntvbd.com/mumtaz-sundoritoma for the registration, which will be open from 16 May. Besides providing with personal details, one has to upload recent photos featuring right, left and front sides of the participant. The registration will be open till 16 June.

Next, the judges will choose 40 women from the participants. Photos of those women will be uploaded on NTV Online where readers of the portal will cast their votes for the participant they like. The voting will continue from 3 July to 23 July.

In the third step, ten women will be chosen through the readers vote and the decision of the jury panel. The select will be invited to Dhaka to participate in the final stage of the competition.

Next, the select 10 beautiful women will be going through grooming by popular beauty experts of the country.

In the final step, three best contestant will be selected by the jury panel. The winners will be awarded. The entire finals will be telecast on NTV. Besides NTV Online, the show will be telecast on other social media as well.
