Landslide halts Sylhet rail link with country
Moulvibazar: Rail communications of Sylhet with rest the country have been snapped as landslides hit the railway track Lawachhara in Moulvibazar.
Srimangal Rail station master Foyez Ahmed told NTV Online a large chunk of mud fell on the rail track at Lawachhara hilly area halting the communication at about 8:00am on Monday.
He said Dhaka-bound Kalni Express from Sylhet was trapped at the Bhanugach station as the rail communication halted.
The rail workers are working to clean the railway track. Hopefully, the communication will be resumed soon, said the station master.
