Jhenidah: Police on Sunday night arrested three accused in the killing case of Swechchasebak League activist Firoz Ahmed from Arabpur Chanpara area in Sadar upazila.

Two of the arrestees are Saiful and Shimul.

Earlier, Ansar Ali, father of the deceased, filed a murder case with Sadar Police Station on Sunday night accusing eight people, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) Imdadul Haq.

On Sunday afternoon, a group of miscreants intercepted the motorbike of Firoz Ahmed, about 30 years old, a member of district unit Swechchasebak League while he was going to the district town.

Later, the miscreants stabbed him indiscriminately, leaving him critically injured.

Firoz was taken to Sadar Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
