80 houses gutted in Panchagarh

Panchagarh: At least 80 slum houses of 27 families were gutted in a devastating fire that broke out at Prodhanabadh village under Debiganj upazila of the distrist on Tuesday.
Local said the fire originated from a mosquito quell from Nur Alam's house and soon engulfed the adjacent area of the village.
Fire fighters from Domar Fire Station rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control with the help of locals, a fire service official said.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Amol Krishno Mandal, police super Gias Uddin Ahamed visited the affected area and distributed dry foods and rice among the families.
