Brahmanbaria: Law Minister Anisul Huq on Thursday said the country’s people never go hungry under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s rule as she ensures their basic needs.
‘Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has arranged stipend for the destitute and the autistic people, so that they never need to beg to anyone. She has ordered not to cut cakes on her birthday this year amid the immense sufferings of the Rohingyas, who have been forced to migrate to Bangladesh from Myanmar.

Whereas BNP chief Khaleda Zia cuts cakes on the day when Father of the Nation Bangabandhu was martyred along with most of his family members,’ Anisul said.
The law minister came up with the observations while distributing stipend books among the recipients of old age, widow, destitute women and autistic allowances at Akhaura Upazila Council Auditorium in the morning.
Presided over by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mohammad Shamsuzzaman, the function was addressed by municipality mayor Takjil Khalifa Kazal and upazila Awami League convener Md Joynul Abedin, among others.
