Dhaka-North Bengal rail link resumes after 4 hours

Pabna: Rail communications between Dhaka and northern districts of the country resumed after four hours on Sunday morning.
Earlier, the rail link was halted as water washed away soil beneath the railway track at Chatmohor in Pabna due to heavy rain.
The Chatmohor rail station assistant manager Mohammad Jahurul Islam said the rail communication halted at about 6:00am after onrush of rain waters washed away stretch beneath the rail bridge no 21 at Guakhara railway station of Pabna’s Chatmohor.
The railway official said mending of the railway track is on process. He hoped the railway links will be restored at about 10:30am.
