Bogra: A woman was found slaughtered to death at Malgram village in Sadar upazila on Monday evening.

The deceased is Pinky Khatun, about 22 years old, daughter of Satku of the village. Pinky had a divorce with her husband four months back.

Emdad Hossain, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said that miscreants slaughtered Pinky at her residence in absence of family members in the evening.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital.

The victim might have been raped before murder, said the OC.

Police also primarily suspected that Pinky’s ex-husband had involvement with the murder as he went into hiding after the incident.
