7kg in gold bars recovered from aircraft sweeper at Sylhet Airport
Customs officials arrested an aircraft sweeper of Bangladesh Biman and recovered 60 gold bars weighing a combined 7 kilograms from Sylhet Osmani International Airport on Wednesday afternoon.
The arrestee is Karimul Islam, aircraft sweeper of Bangladesh Biman Airlines, reports the UNB.
Mashiur Rahman, Customs Super said that acting on a secret tip-off, a team of Customs Intelligence raided a flight Fly Dubai (FZ595) from Dubai around 4:50pm, and searched the passengers before recovering the gold bars from the sweeper, who was arrested.
